An ecosystem developer activity is defined as the sum of the developer activities of all assets that belong to it. For example the Ethereum ecosystem contains all the projects that build on the Ethereum blockchain or contribute to the blockchain in any other way.

Ecosystem development activity events

Developer activity events are an important indicator of value in a blockchain ecosystem, but not all GitHub events accurately reflect developers' contributions. A filtering approach is used to calculate the 'pure' development activity levels. We don't count commits. Read more here

GitHub activity and contributors ranking

Unlike the DevActivity Events metric which monitors only specific events, the GitHub Activity metric includes all events. Again, commits are not included.
